A guest’s first impression happens before the door opens. Photography should convey a possible experience without exaggerations that disappoint at arrival.

Short-stay photography is the first encounter with a guest experience. It should communicate scale, light and comfort honestly, without suggesting space or views the guest will not find on arrival.

A legible layout makes arrival easy: room for luggage, bedside lighting, a clear surface for charging devices and a natural route to the bathroom. These small decisions help shape the overall impression.

To create a recognisable character, work with a limited colour range and repeat two or three materials. A simple headboard, warm lamp and durable textiles can feel more coherent than a crowded collection of decorative objects.

The design brief must also consider cleaning, replacement of pieces, storage and relevant local hospitality rules. The most useful result is an inviting atmosphere that can be maintained without unnecessary effort.
